ABOUT THE COMMUNITY HOUSE WOMAN’S BOARD
The Woman’s Board was formed in 1976 by an enterprising group of women to support the Community House — an organization they considered vital to their community life. The Community House held a special place in their families hearts as they had participated in many activities such as recreational time in the gymnasium, movies and performances in the theater, and congregating at the bowling alley.
Over the years, the landscape of the Community House has changed, but the fundraising efforts of the Woman’s Board has always stayed constant. Today, the funds raised by the Woman’s Board go directly to support the operating budget of the Community House. These funds, along with generous and ongoing support from local businesses and residents, have helped to grow and sustain the Community House.
Woman’s Board members are a multi-generational group of women, working together to support and promote the Community House. They work in a team environment with many opportunities for individual contributions. In addition to planning fabulous fundraising events, members of the Woman’s Board also serve as ambassadors for the Community House.

Community House Woman’s Board Signature Fundraising Events
ANTIQUES+MODERNISM SHOW
The Woman’s Board Antiques+Modernism Show is a celebrated three-day shopping event held every Fall at the Community House (in our 52nd year!). The Antiques+Modernism Show features renowned dealers from across the United States and Europe, specializing in home furnishings, fine art, jewelry, and more! The event kicks off with an elegant PREVIEW PARTY the night before the Show opens to the general public. Preview Party goers enjoy an evening of delicious seasonal fare, inspired cocktails, and early access to start buying at the Show. Visit ANTIQUES+MODERNISM SHOW for more details.
THE HOME TOUR
Now in it’s 4th year, the Woman’s Board Spring fundraising event continues to enjoy record breaking attendance! Guests of the Home Tour visit four inspiring, architecturally unique, and aesthetically beautiful residences in Winnetka (or one of our neighboring communities) on a self-guided tour, with the opportunity to meet the architect, designer, or builder behind the vision in each home. A delectable luncheon at the Community House rounds out the day! Visit THE HOME TOUR for more details.
All proceeds from the Antiques+Modernism Show and The Home Tour benefit the Community House.
