Emergency Closings
The Community House endeavors to keep its facilities and programs operating whenever possible. There are times, however, when weather, road conditions or facility malfunctions dictate that programs and services must be canceled or temporarily postponed or entire facilities closed. To provide employees and patrons with a safe and secure environment in which to work and play, the Community House reserves the right to close a facility or cancel a program when deemed necessary.
Inclement Weather Policy
If school District 36 cancels classes for the entire day, all Community House children’s programs (including “Free to be Kids” child care) starting before noon will be canceled. Decisions on all adult programs and children’s programs starting after noon will be made on a case-by-case basis.
