what is pickleball?
Pickleball is played and enjoyed by people of all ages and skill levels. The game was created in the mid-1960s as a children’s backyard game but is now popular among adults as well. Pickleball is played by two or four players who hit a perforated polymer ball, similar to a WIFFLE ball, over a net with solid wood or composite paddles. This low-impact sport incorporates elements of badminton, tennis and ping pong — it is played on a badminton-sized court, uses a tennis-like net and is governed by rules similar to ping pong.
